Olympic Scoreboard: An Overkill solution to friend group traditions.

For years, I've regularly played minigolf with the same group of friends. Starting as a one-time group exercise, this tradition has gradually grown into a full-fledged tournament. We have gathered once or twice a year for what is jokingly referred to as the Olympics. There was no real score kept at start, but things may have gotten a little out of hand over time. As a designer, I took the liberty of addressing this issue.

To address these scorekeeping challenges, I designed and built a basic, mobile-only application with event-specific ranking and an all-time leaderboard feature. The scoring system was created together with all of the so-called competitors, and I scoured my personal archives for event-specific data for as many games as possible. I ended up with a simple, but far too sophisticated, framework for our prior and future game event scores. However, the content administration side might be made much simpler.
